Models in RED could have had a Mounting Bar with a STRAIGHT STUD. Remove the existing Head and confirm a TAPERED STUD.

This durable but flexible nylon material helps to prevent the head from scratching rims while changing tires. When selecting a head for your Coats tire changer, reference the second picture shown on this page. The stub sticking out of the shaft that holds the head will be either tapered (smaller on the bottom than the top), or it will not be. This head only fits tapered studs.
